I have updated to the latest version of PD 8 and then installed a new VM with Windows 8 Pro - bought on-line, downloaded and installed. Everything seemed to go just fine, but:
    1. I cannot seem to be able to join a Workgroup and share files across my home network. Windows 8 says the computer is part of a business network.
    2. It does join a workgroup but does not ask for the key to join and there is no place to enter the windows workgroup key.
    3. The windows 8 VM appears to be isolated to itself when I go to Network - it only shows the Windows 8 computer, nothing else on the network.

I am running full screen in the VM.

I also have Windows 7 as a VM and the network access if fine.

    Any suggestions?

The only kind of network that I can get to the Internet with is a "Private Network". I need a Home Network to be able to do sharing. I think PD 8 blocking connections in Windows 8 Pro.

    I have solved the problem.
I went to the VM and configured the network options under the Wi-Fi and check the Send the host's MAC address to DHCP server. That did the trick.
