I just d/l'd 2.2 for linux. It says it installed but I can't find it. Host is suse 10.1
I in the Users Guide see that 10.1 isn't supported. Is that a typo or do I have to wait some more?
    Thanks,
    Ron

    Confused

I just downloaded 2.2 for windows and got this from the installer:

Microsoft Virtual*PC for Mac Version*7 Read Me

This document provides late-breaking information about Virtual*PC for Mac Version*7 and is current as of the date above. After that date, you can find more current information and resources at the Microsoft Web site at http://www.microsoft.com/mac/ .

The file that downloaded was called:

    Parallels-Wst-2.2.2050-Win.1.exe

I am confused and did not install it-- what is going on?

The correct name of installation package is Parallels-Wst-2.2.2050-Win.exe (without .1). Are you sure you running our installer and not MS Virtual PC one?

Just type Parallels in the console

You should just type parallels in the console an see what happens.

Yes sir I am sure-- I have no Virtual PC stuff on my computer.

The 1 you noted is that I downloaded it twice to make sure what I had seen happened again.

Just for the sake of it, I downloaded the windwoes version and it installed perfectly.

The only "warning" message was about unsigned drivers. Fuey to Microsoft for thinking they are the authority for ALL software that runs on their platform.

Actually we clarified this issue with dputrich. He tried to open Windows package in Mac OS X - and Mac OS X suggested him to get Virtual PC for that :)

But wasn't it good to have the opportunity for another dig at the monolith.
