i have searched this forum and appear to be the only one experiencing this.

occasionally (all too often, actually), i am informed by my MenuMeters and my loud fans that my computer CPU is all being hogged by a runaway parallels_disp_service process.

i have found that i have to quit parallels and then kill it, or else it hoses my parallels session. and to do so, i have to quit the VM i am running, wait until the spinning-down icon in the black background is showing, and then quit, because it won't entirely end a session on its own while parallels_disp_service is in this 100% CPU mode.

i have also found that re-starting parallels after killing it doesn't do any good, because it apparently needs to be there to run …*meaning that my only recourse is to stop all of my other apps and reboot my machine.

i used to have uptimes of months on my macbook pro, even carrying it from place to place. i am now forced to do this once or twice a week because of the runaway parallels_disp_service.

am i really the only one experiencing this?
