When I quit Parallels Workstation beta 2.1 beta 2, it doesn't actually quit. The unix command "top" has Parallels pegging the CPU minutes after it should have stopped running. I can kill the process from the command line, but it doesn't show up in the standard OS X Force Quit window.

    Anyone else seen this?

I've seen that once or twice with beta 1, but haven't had a chance to use beta 2 much yet. I killed the runaway process with Activity Monitor with no ill effect (at least none that I can see).

I saw this tonight with Beta 3. I saw both cores up in the 60 - 90% range and fired up activity monitor to see what was up. It was parallels, though I hadn't used it for several hours.

I also wee the high CPU usage from Beta 3 after quitting and need to kill the process.

Same here - killing it in Activity Monitor does the trick every time.

    Using MBP, 2.16, 2GB RAM.

Yeah, confirmed. Happened to me today. Both processors were pegged, even after quitting Windows and then quitting the VM. Had to go to activity monitor and kill the two running Parallels processes. Hope this is fixed in Beta4 :)
