I've had Parallels Desktop for Mac 14 installed and working for well over a year. I use it about once a month on average. The last time I started it was likely 2 weeks ago. Now it won't start. Since the last time it did work, Mac installed some upgrades. Changing the mode of /Library/Preferences/Parallel to 775 resolved the error related to the service-wrapper.
I followed this post but it had no impact. Now looking at what could cause "Can't open application shortcuts file for read."
