Hi Running OSX 10.6.8 and windows 7 and it has been working great for a year. Suddenly i get a blue screen on start up and screen goes to the need for a repair or normal start up. Neither work.

can i restore the system from a recent time machine back up? Other fixes?

    Hi FrederickB,

A Blue Screen while starting Windows usually happens if the Windows operating system is corrupt.

You can restore your Windows Virtual Machine from Time Machine or you can repair Windows installation follow the below article:

    Thanks,

Just watched the video, and this is the function that does not fix the problem. I think a Time Machine restore would be best. Any link to how to do that?

    thanks, fred

    Hi FrederickB,

In order to restore your Virtual Machine from Time Machine backup, you need to check the location of PVM file.

Usually it is /User/Documents/Parallels or /Users/Shared/Parallels/

Follow instructions in Apple KB article HT1427
