    Hi,

I understand from searching that running Parallels with a Boot Camp partition will run faster than using it with a virtual disk in terms of disk access.

I'm using an SSD-based MBP and would like to get Parallels to use the least CPU/Power and am wondering if less CPU/power is used with a Boot Camp partition or with a virtual disk.

In general, I'm not doing a lot of disk-intensive operations in the VM. Mostly reading e-mail with Outlook and the rest of office.

Getting the most of our my sealed battery is important to me so I'm happy to setup a boot camp partition if it means less CPU or power usage.

Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

    j.
