I Just discovered that in Parallels 9 there is an option in Configure under Security that is selected by default and should not be. That is, the option checkbox disallows time machine backup of the virtual machine file. While I understand the logic I disagree with the default setting. Worst case if the check box is not selected is that Time Machine runs out of space quickly. Worst case if the check box is selected is that there is no backup and you will only find this once you need that backup.

I just experienced this. I dont remember a similar setting, especially default, in Parallels 8. When I updated from 8 to 9 the default setting kicked in and NO backups are available now for a couple of months. Damn, just when I need it its not there.

Note to Parallels team - please do not select this as a default. Its better for the end user to have too much info saved as opposed to nothing saved.
