    Hi,

After installing Windows7 home premium as a virtual machine I see a message at the bottom of the window asking me to install parallels tools from the VM menu

When i try to do this nothing happens.

Also, I cannot seem to gain access to the internet whilst in the windows environment.

    Any suggestions?

    Ian

you may want to try manually mounting the Parallels Tools installer. Parallels menu Devices -> CD/DVD1 -> Configure -> open the pull-down menu for selection of the CD/DVD source -> and then go to the place where you have the updater image; possibly the image will need to be mounted on the Mac (I don't remember). The Parallels tools image for Windows is called prl-tools-img.iso. On my machine that image is already listed in the pull-down menu. Good luck!

Also after mounting the image with either Shaddam's way or after clickling the proper menu-item (as described in the message), try to click MyComputer -> "CDRom (d:)". It is because Parallels Tools installation can not start if Autorun in Windows is disabled for some reason

Oh, and once you've installed the tools, internet access should work :)
