    hello everybody,

i installed a linux guest with kernel 2.6.37 (tried 2.6.36 too) in parallels 6 and try to install parallels
tools now. But it failes while compiling the kernel modules with following output:

    "Fehler" is german for error.

can i do something to fix it or do i have to wait for a version of parallels tools compatible with 2.6.37?

    thx in advance,
    Yevgeniy.

wow, i have not expect that much help.

nevermind, got it running myself. i have attached a patch, which lets you compile parallels tools agains kernel 2.6.37 (should work with 2.6.37 as well). as usual - use on your own risk.

    bye.

Hi, could you tell me how to use this patch file with the mounted tools directory. I've rsynced the /media/Parallels Tools directory so I can apply the patch but can't find the files I should be patching. Any help would be appreciated.

    regards

I don't suppose you've gotten it to work with 2.6.38

I cant get this patch working..
First i move to the cd directory:
    cd media/parallels\ Tools

Then i try to run the patch in this way:
    cat ~/prl_tools-2.6.37-v2.patch | patch -p1
    but i get this error:
