Parallels Tools Infinite Update Loop

I've installed Parallels 6 build 11994 on my new 11 inch MacBook Air so I could run Win XP. Installed WinXP just fine and installed Parallels Tools. After install the XP VM reboots and then says that Tools is out of date and the automatic update starts. The install goes without error report, XP restarts, and when XP comes up again Parallels Tools is out of date and the auto update starts again.

So, at this point I can only run Windows by stopping the Tools auto update each time I start Windows VM.

Suggestions?

i don't have a solution, but I am experiencing the exact same situation.

 

Bulldawg, my problem was resolved with the installation of the latest update to Parallels Build 6.0.12090
(Revision 660720; May 26, 2011) last week. Try it, and hopefully it solves your problem, too.

I have that build and I also have the same problem.

 

Same problem here. Just upgraded to Build 6.0.12094 and tried removing parllel tools from Control Panel and reinstalling. Nothing, still loops every time I start VM.
