Hi, I created a Windows XP Pro install. I completely patched it. I installed Office 2003 and Project Standard 2003. All updates were applied. I Turned Off the system. Now when I open Parallels and try to 'start' the virtual machine, I only see a black screen. Nothing else shows up. However, the processor of my MacBook Pro shoots up and does not come down. Is there any way I can get to my virtual machine without having to create a new one and reload everything? Thanks.
By any chance is your Mac disconnected from the network, but the VM is still configured to access the network? I have seen the same symtoms as you describe under the circumstances above. D
Yes, but are you actually CONNECTED to a network? I found that if my Mac wasn't actually connected to a network, then I got the blank screen in the VM.
Yes. I am actually connected to a network. Still no boot. It's frustrating because I spent hours making the image. I understand it's a beta though.
What happens when you click the reset VM button (the orange arrow)? What happens if you completely remove and reinstall Parallels (except for your VM image(s), of course)?
If I hit the "reset" button. I am asked if I want to confirm. I select yes. I then quickly see the "post" and the RAM count and then all goes black. I have completely removed and reinstalled Parallels-no difference. Thank you very much for your assistance.
