    Hi,

I'm setting up a MacBook Pro for a colleague and have installed Window XP in Boot Camp and setup Parallels to use that partition.

The user is not adminstrator on the machine so every time Parallels is launched it asks for an administrator account name and password. Can that be avoided? Why does it require adminstrator rights?

The user is authenticated with Active Directory and I have tried to add the user to one of the administrator groups and that works, but that's not really a viable solution.

Can't Parallels we used by a non administrator user?

    Regards,

That is not a function of Paralles, it is a function of Boot Camp and OS X. VmWare has the same prompt.

OK. Thanks. It's a bit p.i.t.a because I will have to keep the user as an administrator and that breaks some of the functionality when I'm managing the Mac's with OS X Server.

    Bummer..
