    Hello,

I've been using Parallels for about two hours and it was working perfect until now...

I just got Parallels installed on a new Vista machine, installed a new XPSP2 VM from scratch, seemed to be working well, and then after a few reboots to install software now when start the guest Parallels warns me there is a problem with the network detected. Sure enough the guest does not see the network.

I am on a hard wire to our LAN and the host can access the LAN and internet just fine. Not sure why this started happening.

I read the manual which warned about firewall settings and to refer to page 165 but there was nothing there. In fact, if you search for the word firewall there is no information anywhhere in the manual about it. I disabled the firewall completely on the host and still no joy.

Any ideas? What a shame it was working great and I've made the purchase on a friends recommendation after VMware server was not working very well on Vista for me.

    Many thanks for your help.

    Hello Bob,

Could you attach the output of ipconfig /all command (please run it in CMD)?

    Best regards,
