Parallels Main Gui Corruption

Hello:

My Parallels main GUI is experiencing some interesting screen anomalies. When launching the main GUI, I can see my desktop background reflected in the majority of the main gui screen. Menus are completely black.

Has anyone ever seen this before, and more importantly does anyone know how to fix it?

My systems specs are as follows:

1. Dell Inspiron 6000 with Centrino Processor,
2. 1 GB RAM
3. ATI Mobility Radeon X300 with ATI Catalyst Driver 8.39.4, Open GL Version 2.0.6650 (8.39.4)
4. Gentoo 2007.0
5. Linux Kernel 2.6.22 with CFS and Tickless enabled
6. KDE 3.5.7
