For the last couple of weeks, I have been experiencing a problem with a Parallels macOS Sequoia VM. It has start to shutdown on its own. This seems to occur at random intervals. Parallels Desktop 20 for Mac MacBook Pro M3 Max I am looking for some thoughts on how to determine the cause. Are there any logs that I can look through? Any help would be appreciated.
I am running Parallels Desktop 20 for Mac Pro Edition Version 20.1.1 (55740). Everything seems to be running with no problems. My macOS VM is no longer shutting down on its own.
Looks like the CONSOLE app may be helpful. The crash reports are all for authorizationhosthelper.arm64
Same issue here. Start VM in the morning and it shuts down over lunchtime. Restart it again and it shuts down again late afternoon. Have not spent much time investigating the issue. Host is M2 Pro Mac Mini running Sequoia. Guest was still Sonoma when issue started (after latest Parallels update). Guest upgraded to Sequoia and issue remains. I have similar same issue. I'm having the same issue, with multiple macOS VMs (15.x and 14.x) My host is an M3 Max 48 GB RAM 1 TB SSD. Very frustrating.
Please file a new support request so we can expedite this: https://my.parallels.com/support/pdpro/technical. I also tried to disable the iCloud services but that didn't work either.
I see many M3 users with the issue here. I am a Macbook Pro - M2 Pro user with the same issue. Can't wait for a resolution.
I downloaded the Parallels update today, and it looks like they fixed the issue. It used to stop working after an hour, but now it's been running smoothly for 5 hours.
I am running Parallels Desktop 20 for Mac Pro Edition Version 20.1.1 (55740). Everything seems to be running with no problems. My macOS VM is no longer shutting down on its own.
