I've been in the El Capitan beta test group since it came out. I am or was running Parallels 10 (latest version) when I initially installed the beta a couple of months back. Parallels ran fine from the first get-go and on through all the beta updates. I should note that I installed the current Windows 10 program that ran well also (again with Parallels 10).

Last night i received what looked like the final edition of El Capitan which I installed. After the installation all seemed well. Clicking on About shows only 10.11 without any beta codes. A few minutes ago I wanted to go into Windows 10 via Parallels. I got to the first screen where the "dot circle" stopped moving and then apparently hung up. After waiting a few minutes, I shut the computer down and rebooted. Now my Parallels icon was missing from the desktop so I went into Applications and clicked on the Parallels program which then started it up, only to hang up as described above.

Unfortunately I did NOT make a Time Machine backup before installing the latest (final?) software for El Capitan. Maybe this time I will do so. Wonder how I'm going to get back into Parallels operation? Should I delete the Parallels application in Applications and then run the Parallels installation disk again? I assume my Windows 10 installation is still there even though I can't access it at this time. Any other ideas?

Hi @StarShot did you try to reinstall Parallels Desktop? Also please check the Parallels folder (Finder -> Documents-> Parallels).
Also could you please provide u with the problem report? You can generate it right after reproducing the issue using this KB

Yes, the Parallels folder is there. I will try to send the report. I thought about trying to install parallels again but haven't so far. IF I did, would it go right over the existing Parallels program? I'm a bit leery messing around with this too much since I sold my iPhone a few days ago and won't get my new one until Sept 25. I NEED my present iTunes account to restore the new phone, but all that data, etc should reside on the OS X side of the equation.
