Trying to start a Vista Ultimate VM in Parallels 3.0. Error. "Parallels Desktop failed to allocate the specified amount of memory. Please restart Parallels Desktop and try again. To avoid this problem in the future chose from the menu: Parallels Desktop>Preferences. On the Memory tab select the 'Enable virtual memory preallocation' option."

The fix suggested in the error message accomplishes nothing. The error continues to occur whenever a VM is started.

This is the same problem I've had with the past two versions prior to v3.0. The only fix I know of is to restart the Mac.

Let's get this one fixed forever, Parallels team.

I also had a "failed to allocate memory" for my XP VM, but the error message suggested rebooting if a relaunch didn't work. I rebooted the Mac and it worked.
