Hello, IT at a school district and we have one lab we have Parallels installed on iMacs running 10.7.5, parallels 7. Everything works fine but we have students that think its funny to delete the start-up icon off the desktop. When this happens it also gets rid of the VM in the Users/Parallels/ folder causing me to re-install everything again. I can lock the icon itself in Get Info but it they really want to delete it they can. Couple of questions. 1. Is there a way to lock-down the desktop either through OSX features or 3rd party software? 2. Is there a way to get this back without reinstalling? 3. Is there a way to install this that the VM icon isn't placed on the desktop? I know I can pull the Parallels icon from Applications to the Dock and I have the dock locked down but doesn't solve the Desktop icon issue. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
