I have installed Parallels Desktop successfully on my new MacBook Pro 2.5.
When I open the Parallels Desktop my systems goes in severe slow-motion.
Tried restarting etc but the same problem exists.
So much for Parallels I have uninstalled it.
Has anyone had a similar problem.
If so, what is the solution to correct.
    Thanks.

How much memory do you have? What are the versions installed? What did you install and how much memory did you allocate for your VM?

    I have 4gb memory.
Could never get to the set up of the virtual machine.
Was never able to designate memory allocation.
As soon as I opened parallels desktop system would go into the severe slowdown.

    Damn, Same thing I have.

Can you start your Console, start parallel. And post what happens in the Console log? I can assure you it should work.

    returned software to vendor

    Hello:
I was able to return the software and got my money back.
I will probably try parallel's competitor's product in the future.
For now boot camp is running fine. I do not like having to reboot, but at least there are no problems.
Thanks for your input and taking the time to look.

Are you running Norton Antivirus? That could do it.

    parallels slow - norton av

    Hello:
Yes, I run norton anti virus (only the anti virus). Are you saying that I would have to uninstall norton av to get parallells to run properly? What anti virus does not conflict with parallels?
    Thanks for your help.
