I upgraded to Desktop 9(Under Mavericks) for Mac from DT 6(Under OS 10.6.8).
I am running the same Windows 7 VM on the new version of DT as I was on 6.

For some reason, it takes forever for Parallels and the VM to shutdown compared to the old setup.
Nothing has changed on the VM, and as far as I can tell, the update to 9 adopted all of the previous settings I was using in 6.

    Specs:

    MacBook Pro
    OS 10.9 Mavericks
    Parallels Desktop 9.0.23350 Rev. 941886
    VM: Windows 7 Pro 32 bit SP1

I also noticed PDT 9 has to wait for certain Windows VM tasks to end before it will shutdown(I often have to kill them manually).
I never had to do this in PDT 6. Is PDT 9 more sensitive to this than 6 was?
In my opinion, it should take less time for a VM to shutdown than a full-on install of Windows.

Also, when I quit Parallels, it always stops the shutdown and asks me if I want to close the VM.
Is there a way to make it automatically close the VM when I shutdown Parallels, bypassing the dialogue?
