    Newbie here!

I have a Mac Book, OSX ver. 10.4.9 and installed Parallels today. I am consistently getting blue screens of death. This has occurred on three vms that I’ve blown away and created just to make sure I had removed the variables.

    It’s a regsvr32.exe error

The instruction at “0x77f5215c” referenced memory at “0x00000000”. The memory could not be “written”

Any salvation here? Despite being woefully discouraged, being unable to run Parallels with XP defeats the purpose of the capability.

    Any info is welcomed.

Most likely you have an old version of Parallels that does not support the Core 2 Duo processor. Open Parallels, without starting the VM, and see what version you have.

The current version is 3188. You can download it from the Parallels.com website.
You activation key from the copy you bought should still work. (Unless you are not in the USA, in which case, search these forums to find out how to get the correct download for your country.)
