    Hello,
    parallels-config loops foever. I ran the command manual and get the following:

    (mini) [/usr/lib/parallels/drivers/hypervisor] make -C /lib/modules/2.6.17-rc3/build SUBDIRS=/usr/lib/parallels/drivers/hypervisor SRCROOT=/usr/lib/parallels/drivers/hypervisor modules && mv -f hypervisor.ko hypervisor.o
    make: Entering directory `/home/sithglan/work/mini/linux-2.6'
    make -C /lib/modules/2.6.17-rc3/build SUBDIRS=/home/sithglan/work/mini/linux-2.6 SRCROOT=/home/sithglan/work/mini/linux-2.6 modules && mv -f hypervisor.ko hypervisor.o
    make -C /lib/modules/2.6.17-rc3/build SUBDIRS=/home/sithglan/work/mini/linux-2.6 SRCROOT=/home/sithglan/work/mini/linux-2.6 modules && mv -f hypervisor.ko hypervisor.o
    make -C /lib/modules/2.6.17-rc3/build SUBDIRS=/home/sithglan/work/mini/linux-2.6 SRCROOT=/home/sithglan/work/mini/linux-2.6 modules && mv -f hypervisor.ko hypervisor.o
    make -C /lib/modules/2.6.17-rc3/build SUBDIRS=/home/sithglan/work/mini/linux-2.6 SRCROOT=/home/sithglan/work/mini/linux-2.6 modules && mv -f hypervisor.ko hypervisor.o
    make -C /lib/modules/2.6.17-rc3/build SUBDIRS=/home/sithglan/work/mini/linux-2.6 SRCROOT=/home/sithglan/work/mini/linux-2.6 modules && mv -f hypervisor.ko hypervisor.o
    ...

    has anyone an idea howto debug this?

    sound familiar

    it's exactly what I'm experiencing with SuSE 10.1 (linux 2.6.16.13)

    I saw this problem before. I circumvented this problem by using kernel 2.6.12.5 which works for me like a charm. I have two ideas what is going wrong here: First is that the provided build infrastructure for the parallels kernel drivers are just broken, or that are some symbols which were available in 2.6.12.5 are no longer available in later versions which causes a compile problem and the build infrastructure loops forever. However I wasn't able to get a compiler error, but I didn't tried that hard either.
