Hello, I upgraded from one Intel iMac to a newer one. After using the migration assistant to move all of my files over I checked every app. They all opened except Parallels. So I reinstalled it with the latest version.

Now when I open it, it looks for the data file. It finds it and opens it but it just says "Parallels can't commumicate with one of it's drivers, Please reinstall Parallels and try again."

This doesn't help, I just get the message again. Is my file toast? Thanks. -DR

Download the latest Parallels build and reinstall it. :) That will fix the problem. The migration assistant does not move everything... it leave some little things out like the drivers that Parallels uses.

Sometimes the information box tells you exactly what you need to know.

Make sure to use the newest version; things have changed in newer Mac hardware that make the older versions not work anymore.

Thank you for your reply. As I explained in my post I did reinstall with the most current version. It was downloaded from the Parallels site just days ago. It must be another issue. -dr

Did you reinstall the Parallels Tools?

http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=11880 - it's not like I made that thread for no reasons :) I'm just too lazy to copy/paste that instruction into each thread I see, giving links is much simpler :)
Anyway, please try the suggestions from that thread, I think it may help.
