parallels.app takes several minutes to load

I have two macbook air laptops. Both running Leopard 10.5.4

I have two licenses for Parallels.

On one of the machines the parallels app takes several minutes to load. After it loads everything works as expected. On the other the app takes seconds to load.

I have done as others suggest here - run disk repair, uninstall and reinstall, revert to older versions - none of which help.

Does anyone have any ideas? It is driving me nuts. I can't fix it.

 

Disable Screen Sharing, VNC , also on slow machine there can be Boot Camp, which ls installing Parallels Tools everytime

 

I've double checked and none of these things are enabled.

- I don't use boot camp
- VNC is disabled
- Screen sharing is disabled.

 

Can you see Windows boot process when you start Parallels?
