I have a super fast Mac Pro and the latest Parallels 5. I have a windows xp virtual machine and it was working fine, fast no problems but all of a sudden it started loading incredibly slow....to the point where I would think it completely froze but if i would wait about 10 minutes it would react to what i asked it to do before. I tried reinstalling another virtual machine and it is again incredibly slow at doing that, progressing at a snail's pace. Any ideas what can be causing this and a possible solution? Should I try reinstalling Parallels? Trashing preference files? ideas?

I have the same problem on my Macbook Pro. Even went so far as installing OSX all over again. And the same problem persisted. I've found that if I reboot without turning the system off, that everything is zippy like before. If I just power on, then I have a slow Parallels. If you find a solution, please post it. Thanks!!!

You mean reboot the Mac while Parallels is running? Or you mean reboot Parallels? I'm having a miserable time with this Parallels.
