I recently upgraded to Mavericks and I just recently received homework that requires me to utilize my Parallels software. I haven't used in quite some time and didn't know I was supposed to upgrade first. Is it possible to upgrade to Parallels 9 after having upgraded to Mavericks. If not, can someone please tell me how to remove Mavericks, upgrade my parallels and then put Mavericks back.

    BrandyB...

You can upgrade without removing Mavericks... I just completed it for Parallels 8. If you try to start Parallels - and it's not working... click on the "solution" when it tells you it's not loading... the site walks you through what you need to do. However, I don't know if 9 is the same as 8 was... but i had to download the latest build version of parallels from the website (it wouldn't work by utilizing the DVD copy I had... wouldn't build to the newest version with that). If I remember right.. I had to uninstall Parallels, run the "disk permission" utility , reboot, reinstall (the newest) version of Parallels, reboot... then it worked fine.

    Good luck!
