I currently have Parallels 7 and want to upgrade to 10. How can I keep my windows & microsoft office software from version 7? I originally purchased the windows software on CD's and can't find them now. I'm using Yosemite on my mac.

    Thank you.

    Hi Robin,
Upgrading from Parallels Desktop 7 to Parallels Desktop 10 will not affect your Virtual Machine.
Your Virtual Machine will still be available on your Mac and you can see your Windows Virtual Machine along with all the files, folders and applications popping up automatically as soon as you have Parallels Desktop 10 installed on your Mac.
Please ensure to purchase the full version of Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac, as it is not possible to upgrade from version 7 to version 10.
To take a backup of the Virtual Machine, copy the .PVM file ( http://kb.parallels.com/117333 ) to an External Drive or make sure that your Virtual Machine is
backed up by your Time Capsule.
