I am running Snow Leopard on an early 2008 Mac Pro. I have Parallels 7 (Build 7.0.14922) with a Lion Virtual Machine. I want to use an Olympus DR-1000 dictation microphone (a combined handheld USB microphone and trackball). Without Parallel Tools installed, the Virtual Machine can accept input from both the mic and the trackball. Once I install Tools it will only accept one or the other, depending on whether or not I select the device from the list of USB devices. If I don't, I have the trackball but no microphone. If I do. I have the microphone but no trackball. Or, more accurately, the cursor no longer seems to appear on the screen, although the trackball can still (blindly) seemingly move an invisible cursor around and the buttons can still click things. This is a major problem, as the screen resolution without Tools is too limited to be of much use.

Also, is the ability to copy and paste between a real mac and a virtual one going to be added at some point in the future?

    TIA
