    All:

Okay, I went ahead and let Parallels update to 11994 from the stock install I purchased two months ago.

Since then, here are some consistent annoyances that now occur which DID NOT happen before:

    - Parallels Desktop no longer responds to OS X's standard Cmd-Q keystroke to Quit. I HAVE to go into the menu and choose quit using the mouse

    - When starting my Virtual Machine, the "taskbar" from my Guest OS (Windows Vista Ultimate) appears across the screen of my MacBook Air, about where it would be in a wide-screen "Window" view, despite the fact that my default startup mode for Parallels is Coherence mode. This NEVER occurred before. It now happens every time.

    - When shutting down my VM, the Windows Vista Ultimate desktop/shutdown sequence appears on my Mac Screen in a Window view while it's shutting down, despite the fact that I'm in Coherence mode. This NEVER occurred before. It now happens every time.

    - When clicking within OS X on an icon for a Windows Vista application, the VM correctly launches (with Artifact #1, by the way). However, the application's launch sound effect and splash screen graphics appear even while the Parallels dialog box VM starting is still on screen and "in progress"....It's very glitchy looking and annoying. As with the rest of these problems, they didn't occur before I updated.

    UPDATE:

    - Also, it now takes TWO clicks on the dock icon to give the Parallels App "focus" and bring it to the foregound (e.g., bring up a VM resume or a Windows Start Menu))....unlike all other Mac OS X Apps in the Dock, which respond to a SINGLE click to both give them focus and bring them to the foreground with whatever menu they are ready to present.

Granted, these are not show-stopping problems, but it makes it feel like Parallels is going backwards and getting less polished with each build, not more...

Anyone else notice these new annoyances??? I'm considering the pain and lost time of going back to the original version....

    - Me
