I have Parallels 6 running on a new MacBook Pro. Windows 7 VM installed, running a heap of Microsoft business software. VM stalled and crashed (thanks to the instability of the Microsoft software) and I had to do a hard reset/boot of the MacBook as a result.

Now when I start Parallels and the VM initialises, the startup sequence goes no further than the black screen within Windows....tells me that:

    'A disk read error occurred
    Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart'

But of course, after sending the key combination, it restarts and stalls at the same spot. So it appears I have totally broken the Parallels/VM environment and will need to reinstall the whole mess from scratch.

Is there any way of saving me this 8 hour headache and fixing my problem?

I have Parallels 6 running on a MacBook Pro. Windows XP installed and working well until now. My problems began after I unistall a HP printer.
Now when I start VM, the screen freeze with Windows XP logo on the blue screen.
At this time, all the VM commands work.
I tried start with Windows CD. It doesn't work too.
Is it possible to solve this?
