I just updated my Parallels to 6.0 and migrated my WinXP SP3 virtual machine into it. Everything went dandy until sounds started playing. Every sound crackles horribly. It never happens unless Parallels is running, but the worst thing is, that if parallels is running, even the Mac OSX sounds (like music) start crackling too! If I mute the virtual machine, the OSX sounds stop crackling. It doesn't seem to matter what is making the sound in the virtual machine. If I open a youtube page and play a video from there, it will cause the OSX sounds to crackle as well. I'm running Parallels on a Macbook Pro 17" (mid-2010) with the i5 processor and 4gigs of RAM. I REALLY hope you can fix this quickly, since this is making the virtual machine unusable for me, since I can't use sounds in any game. Or if you have tips, I'm happy to try anything out.
