I upgraded to 6.0 the other day but now I am wondering why. Parallels 5.0 was working fine for my Quickbook and Quicken files but they offered a discount so I jumped. Now I see that it has slowed my machine down when it is running and that isn't when Timemachine is backing up! I have tried to increase the memory allocation but it is already set to optimum. Even when I pushed it up a bit and ignored the warning it didn't make a difference. Yes I am running on a Macbook Pro with only 3gb of ram but that is all this Macbook Pro will take. We often upgrade blindly thinking that an upgrade is better but forget that if it isn't broken then don't fix it. Perhaps a warning would be better from the company than UPGRADE, upgrade, upgrade! So now the question. Did I waste my money or is there a way to get the performance back in my Parallels install? Bob
