Dear Sir/Madame, in my office we have a copy of Parrallels (German localisation) installed on a MacPro 8 core 3 GHz/16GB ram/2x500 GB hd/Optiarc burner. Tiger 10.4.11. We use it with Windows XP. The problem we experienced is very easily reproducible: almost every time the MacPro goes into sleep, it won't wake up anymore. To be more accurate, it does not go to sleep completely, since the white light is steady. Pressing a key or clicking the mouse won't turn it on anymore and I need to do an hard reset. If I remove the Parallels extensions (except pvsnet) from memory, the problem disappears. The emulated machine works as it should, the problem affects only the sleep/wakeup of the MacPro as a whole. I still havent't checked the latest release, because the version I download from the website is in English and my verification code doesn't work (I must ask the local dealer every time!), but I cannot find any mention of this problem in the release notes, so I expect it to be still there. I experienced this problem also with a previous build, something like 4120. Is this problem known? is there a fix planned for the very next release? we need to buy another virtual machine for another MacPro and we need to choose the software quickly. Now, I just started the MacPro, in a couple of hours I will go to check if it locked. If so, I will post the kernel panic output.
