Thanks for any help you can provide. I run P 5 on my IMAC, I have updated to Snow Leopard. I have run Vista for about 2 years with no issues; I had only one image of Vista for both Boot Camp and my VM. I installed a new VM of Win 7. I wanted to run both Vista and Win 7 while I transitioned some of my work from Vista to Win 7. My issue is, now that I have done that I would like to have only a single image for Win 7 Boot Camp and the VM (such as I had with Vista). I think I know how to delete Vista, but how do I get to my VM Win 7 to be the Boot Camp copy?

I hope I have explained my problem well enough to get some help.

    Thanks, Bill

Ooooh that's a bit tricky. Google has some answers; as far as I recall it involves using Acronis True Image to make a complete backup of your disk, then setting up your BootCamp Drive (including the Win7 install) and then playing back from the True Image file to that drive. I may mis-remember that, though.

Thanks for the reply - That hardly seems worth it. Do you know if I require two copies of Win 7 just to create a new Boot Camp and blow away the old Vista? Any other possible solutions? Thanks, Bill

You could install Windows 7 on your BootCamp partitition, set up a VM to access that partition as its hard drive, call MS to reset your registration since you're switching computers (should not cause any issues according to all I've read), and throw away the "old" Windows 7 VM.
