During my four hours on the phone with an Indian tech (after two disastrous Windows security patch upgrades last week), he had a huge amount of trouble getting Parallels Tools loaded, despite the fact that he was working remotely on my computer. This was not a huge surprise to me because back when I switched over to the MacMini, I had to get a tech, again working remotely, to load Tools. In the interest of passing this method on, here's how he finally got Tools to load successfully. We downloaded a brand new copy of it from the website, either it was in the proper format or he changed it into an .iso file which I then burned to a CD. Only from this CD, were we able to load the program. Absolutely no other method worked; don't ask me why. I'm saving that CD for future use. My only concern now is that Parallels may question its activation (although I had a fully licensed and authenticated copy running prior to the security patch meltdown). Leslie
