I upgraded from Vista Ultimate to 7 Ultimate. I also upgraded to Parallels 5.0. The installation went very smooth. However, when I open Parallels, the screen says Vista and click to open. Why doesn't it say Windows 7?
do you mean the screen from which you start the virtual machine? If so, that screen displayes whatever your VM is called. If your VM is called "Vista" it will show the name Vista. You could rename your VM to "Millenium Falcon" and it will say that on the opening screen. Once you start your VM, the name will be replaced by whatever operating system is running on the VM. The VM's name is the name of the Parallels VM file in the "Parallels" folder inside your "Documents" folder, if I'm not mistaken.
Please do not follow these instructions. My VM is now corrupted, even though I renamed it back to what it was. Doesn't matter though, I won't be using Parallels 5 with Windows 7 until they get the Paralells 5 bugs worked out.
