This has happened twice now: At the end of yesterday's working day I had the 'Parallels looks like an old tv screen and freezes' problem again. I'm not sure which keys exactly I pressed, something like alt+shift+e. After this the Parallels screen (WinXP) became 'scrambled' (like an old tv screen), I could move the mouse in OS X but I couldn't use any function (like Shutdown). I pressed the power switch at the back of my iMac to shut the computer down. After rebooting and starting Parallels again, everything seemed okay. But this definitely isn't good for my heart ... Today I got this respons: On 17 Mar, 2010, at 11:30 AM, a collegue of mine wrote: What you're telling me sounds like the same thing that happens when an automated snapshot is being made, but I'd imagine you would receive some sort of notification of that. Of course, you've tried leaving Parallels alone for a while to wait and see if it returns to normal? I answered: This auto snapshot is turned of. Thanks for the hint, however! I'll contact Parallels Support. Hans
