Worked with Parallels 3, including Parallels Tools

I try to install Parallels Tools 4.0:
After start of the install script and acknowledge of the first two (?) screens, it shows a message:

Please wait while upgrading is in progress

Here the installer stopps - no further progress. I can't leave the screen, not with ctrl-c or otherwise.
Any hint where to look for log files?

    Thanks and bye

I could not find any related messages - but I will check it in detail tomorrow (I am not experienced with amor)
Meanwhile I can show you the processes started by the install - at least these I can identify
(I have to go home now - next responses will take a bit longer ;) bye

Could you please perform installation with "-i" or "--install" key and after that attach "/var/log/parallels-tools-install.log" file.

Sorry, I had no time for further analyzing the problem. Yesterday I came back to proceed work with my vm's and I updated first to the latest Parallels Update. And - what a surprise - now it works great! Without any further installations or corrections on the guest system.
