Hello I'd like to point out a *MUST* for this version of parallels, (3.0). The problem is no games can run on parallels due to the graphics convert which only allows so much mb from the GPU to be used. The solution is easy, allow bootcamps graphics converter to work with parallels and it solves the graphics problem completely! I noticed that parallels wouldn't allow me to use the graphics converter after I installed bootcamps device which takes care of everything perfectly when rebooting into windows xp, vista, etc. Please remove your graphics converter, or allow it and or bootcamps graphics converter to take over when running parallels and booting into xp, vista! If you do that your sales for that product will shoot up at an extremely dramatic rate! Thanks!
A graphics converter is what it sounds like. Its basic function is to convert drivers between one or more, and or other operating systems. For example, the mac has different graphics drivers in order for the card to be in use with an Apple computer. Therefore, in order to get the same graphics ability from running parallels with XP you need a GPU converter in order to initialize windows GPU drivers. Boot Camp is built in on Leopard and by using the Leopard install CD it installs Boot Camp onto windows XP or vista, etc. When it does that it converts the graphics drivers so they work equally with each other. It's the major bug in parallels that keeps us all from playing games at full power while using parallels desktop 3.0 and playing games on XP, Vista, etc. Thats why I'm requesting that parallels gets rid of their current graphics emulator and either uses Boot Camps device for it or allows Boot Camps device to work once it's installed. It's very cool to use parallels 3.0 desktop with XP however, they need to fix this graphics problem first. Once they do that anyone can play any game just fine as long as their computer has enough RAM to support both GUI's running at once, including a game running on one of the GUI's.
