Hi, I recently installed parallels 10 on my 2014 15'' macbook pro retina. Everything was working great until just recently, when I noticed that full screened windows applications on coherence seem to go through a resizing when switching between desktop workspaces in mac os x. This is ruining my experience with parallels, is there anybody out there who has a fix?
We've put efforts to minimize this effect in the next Parallels Desktop 10 update. Please explain the usage scenario where this issue manifests. If possible, make a screen recording (http://kb.parallels.com/en/118652).
My Mac has a resolution of 2560x1600 and in Mac OS I have selected "more space" as a display setting, which I am not going to change. I am Using Parallels V10. Problem: In Windows, the default resolution is 3360x2100. Changing it in Windows is not possible, since it will go back at restart. Everything is too small in windows and I believe that this setting is wasting hardware resources. I want to have it matching the Mac OS setting. This KB article: http://kb.parallels.com/en/114700 promises a solution, but the Parallels settings, that are described there do not exist. This is what the video settings look like: http://screencast.com/t/S0OuWIaVIy - there is no "scaled" or "best for retina" setting there.
With OS X set to "More space" on 13" MBP, display resolution visible by applications is 1680x1050 points or 3360x2100 pixels. This is exactly what you're seeing in Windows since retina resolution is enabled for your VM, note the lower check box on your screen shot. You don't have Best for retina/Scaled settings because you seem to be running XP (or at least VM guest type is set to XP), which doesn't actually work well at high resolution. Disabling retina check box should help.
