I have a 10 year old parallel port dongle that sits on the back of my PC plugged directly into the parallel port - to which I can plug in a parallel printer (no longer use parallel printer) but the dongle is required for a particular software application to run.

    Does anybody have any suggestions?

    Thanks

Top Menu bar -> Devices -> check through the LPTs and see if you can find your dongle listed. If it is indeed listed, make sure it is checked.

I would but the Mac Mini does not have a parallel port - I need some sort of USB to Parallel cable but the parallel end has to match what is on the back of the PC..

Sorry - probably did not phrase my initial question that well.
