I am a new convert from Window 98 and am now running Tiger, Parallels and XP on an alum iMac. I have an older version of Photoshop Elements (version 2) that I use on the XP side. Only recently (this just started showing up after months of problem-free use) I have been getting this message when I activate Photoshop: "Windows is running without a paging file. This is potentially dangerous .... For this system, Photoshop recommends setting Windows Virtual Memory to have a minimum amount of at least 16Mb and a maximum of at least 639Mb. " I don't know what a paging file is or how much "Windows Virtual Memory" I have or how it can be adjusted. Could someone lead me by the hand on this? Thanks.
My suggestion is to add new HDD, as described in Parallels Desktop for Mac user guide from http://www.parallels.com/en/download/file/doc/Parallels_Desktop_for_Mac_User_Guide.pdf on page 191 Format it using Disk management console http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309000 and define page file to d: as described in http://windowsitpro.com/article/articleid/14507/how-can-i-change-the-size-of-the-pagefile.html
