I have a iMac 27" with 8 GB RAM, running Parallels 5, latest build, and WinXP SP3. From time to time the iMac freezes while I'm working in Parallels. I have to press the Power Off button and to reboot OS X. After this I run a Verify Disk. Sometimes disk errors are found. Always I have to restart the WinXP VM (it is not suspended). I find it very difficult to pinpoint the cause of the freezing (crash). I had a tool to monitor the CPU and GPU temperature but they seemed to be okay. I have the impression that copying files from the VM (e.g. from c:\cat) to the Mac side may have something to do with this problem. Most of the time I'm working in the Windows application Transit XV from STAR AG. What would be a good strategy to determine the cause of these crashes? Thanks, Hans
