I'll start with a general comment before the specific problem. I've been running build 3120 (RC 1) since it came out. I find it the most unstable and unusable build of the beta so far. I cannot see how it can be a release candidate and for me it raises questions about lack of stress testing by the Parallels team. The latest problem was the weirdest so far. I'm running on a Mac Book Pro, 2.33Ghz Core 2 Duo 3GB RAM, 160GB HD. The XP Pro VM is set to have 1GB RAM and 16MB VRAM. USB on, autoconnect off. Bridged Network enabled, not conected at startup. I don't use Coherence, but XP app icons are in Mac Dock. I had been using the system yesterday with a few Mac apps running in parallel (Thunderbird, Entourage, Previews, Word, Powerpoint). I had tried to Hide Parallels Desktop from Mac last night but it did not work. It was not important so I worked on. I put laptop to sleep last night, and opened this morning to continue. I clicked on IE7 icon on XP taskbar and the whole Parallels XP Pro Window disappeared! It is still running: I can select XP apps from the doc and can see the Dock icon representing XP Pro change. I can't make progress so will have to Force Quit, delete the 1.4Gb .mem file Parallels sticks on the drive and I'll probably reboot for safety. Anybody else seen this and have remedies? Was trying to hide Parallels my mistake?
