Openmediavault is one of the most popular open source NAS OS and well established in the market. To be prepared it is sometimes beneficial to install a new version or features in a virtual system. So far I have done this with virtual box but this is with the release of Big Sur no longer possible and there is no time frame provided when it will be fixed. So for all apple users who are iterested in OMV it would be a good feature to have OMV as a guest OS in parallels.
