Hi This seems so basic I feel like an idiot for asking but I can't find an answer anywhere! I'm running Parallels 10 with a Mac running Yosemite and the Windows virtual machine running Vista. I want to share just a SINGLE folder which both the Mac and Windows can access. I assumed selecting Custom Folders in Configure>Options>Sharing would limit what was available in Windows, but it doesn't seem possible to stop Windows accessing my whole Mac Home folder at a minimum, or the entire Mac disk. Given the potential security issues with Windows, I don't want anything but a bare minimum accessible to Windows, but I can't find a way to do this. Any help would be very, very gratefully received.
Hi WillaA, Please go to Configure>Options>Sharing > un check Shared Profile and under Share folders Click on Customer folders > and choose the desired folder to share > Start Windows, It will allow you to access a single folder on Mac from Windows.
Hi Ram Thanks very much for your reply. I think I must have tried it when Windows was running before; I did as you suggested while it was closed and it worked. I feel a bit of an idiot! Thanks again... Willa
