For a long time Windows update has repeatedly tried and failed to install Office 2007 SP2 in my 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium guest running under Parallels 5. I tried downloading the full SP2 install program from Microsoft to try the installation outside of Windows update, but it too failed after the progress bar moved about two-thirds of the way. My next step was to try uninstalling Office 2007 (using the control panel) and then reinstalling. But, when I tried to uninstall it, the uninstall also failed...complaining about not having access to a registry entry. In what might a related problem, I've also been unable to install Adobe Creative Suite 4 under Windows. It hardly gets started before it complains about being locked out of something or another. I've not encountered these problems on a real PC running the same version of Windows 7, so I'm guessing that this is somehow related to Parallels, Any suggestions?
