I am running Parallels on Ubuntu 5.10 and have WinXP as a Guest OS. I also have a cruizer mini USB pen drive. When I insert the pen drive into the system, the Guest OS recongnizes the USB device. I then right-click on the USB icon on the Parallels window and de-activate it - the USB device is recognized and mounted by LINUX (as expected). if I copy some files to the USB and re-activate the device in Parallels, the devices works, but the files are gone. When I go back to LINUX the files are gone. If I copy the files in LINUX to the pen drive, remove the device from the USB port, then re-insert the device, the files are there in the Guest OS. Can anyone explain why this is, or is this a bug?
