I just installed parallels/windows 7 on a new machine and everything works nicely except that the number 3 key is completely non-responsive within windows. It works fine on the Mac side (I'm typing this on the mac: 3 3 3!), and on the windows side it works fine in combination with shift, ctrl, etc. so I can type a '#' for instance. But 3 itself does not work at all. Seems like something that I'll need to be able to do at some point. Any suggestions?
Worth noting: I can reproduce this using the "Keyboard Viewer" within Mac OS. I can mouse click the keys on that viewer into a notepad window and all of them work, apart from the 3. I've been rifling the various hardware, keyboard shortcuts, etc. screens within parallels to see if I can find a shortcut or something that might be blocking the key, but everything looks fine. It's still set up as the default (which you'd expect as this is a new install on a new machine)
Found and fixed: In the "Virtual Machines" section of "shortcuts", 3 was mapped to shift+printsc. No idea how that happened, but disabling it gives me my key back.
I'm having the same issue. Every keystroke works except for the numbers 3 and 4 on my macbook pro running windows 10 in the latest parallels 12.0.2 I found the shortcuts and none of them listed reference a 3 or 4. I clicked reset to default with no luck. I'm stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. OK, After rebooting parallels and windows. The 3 and 4 keys now work. Very strange.
